My brother sat so still on the kayak very calm taking the whole experience in… wiggling his fingers in the water a sense of freedom I should imagine. My brother was able to feel the cold water running through his fingers and feel the wobble of the kayak on the waters being blind it’s important to keep other senses alive… Next was the kayaking…having a upper active body my brother rocks from side to side so I was a little nervous about this one…but again no disappointment, much to our surprise a member of staff actually assisted us in the water, wow talk about going above and beyond their duty! My brother experienced a family bike ride for the first time loving the wind blowing on his face once we gathered up speed! As a family we have never giggled as much seeing how happy my brother was for this experience… 💙 honestly tears of happiness seeing the huge smile on his face! Wow! They certainly delivered… they suggested a family bike and my brother sits in the middle of two members, my brother was attached to the bike wearing a life jacket. Family holiday at Millport… first of all I’d like to say a massive thank you to all the accommodating kind and friendly staff at “on your bike” who couldn’t do enough or us! Being a family with a member having cerebral palsy and blind (33yrs) never been one for leaving him out wanted him to experience a bike ride and kayaking so set the shop a challenge…
